Wedding Edit FAQ

For select garments, we offer a bespoke service and can offer stock year round at a custom charge with a longer lead time. You do not have to be a bridesmaid or part of a wedding to order from this service. Please see our Wedding Edit for more information. Jillian Boustred Bridal pieces are made to order in Sydney. This means that once you’ve chosen your size from the available options and confirmed your order, we’ll get started on making that piece. We don’t carry standard size stock of the gowns, however we have sample gowns in store to try on, and each garment is individually cut and sewn (to our size chart) as orders come in. We require a 12 week lead time for all orders.

We offer our Bridal range in JB 0-5 (AU6-16). Please email us if you have any sizing questions and if you would like to discuss a size outside our range.

You can find a size guide on each product page that corresponds to each garment. You’ll also find a ‘how to measure yourself’ guide as part of our size chart to ensure you select the best size for your body

You are welcome to come into our Chippendale studio in Sydney anytime during our opening hours. We also offer a postal sampling service for those who aren’t able to come into our Sydney studio.

Our in-store stylists will help you find your nearest size by taking your measurements and having a conversation about the size you usually wear in dresses, as well as giving expert advice once you’ve tried your desired dress on. We are able to help you select your closest size and advise on any alterations you may need. We do not, however, offer a fitting or alterations service. This helps to reduce the amount of alterations that may be needed but it doesn’t eliminate the need for alterations by your tailor altogether.

Yes! We offer a postal sampling service for anyone unable to come into our Sydney studio.The service requires a small deposit which can be turned into store credit after the samples have been returned to us should you not wish to proceed with a Bridal Edit order, otherwise it can be applied to your final order balance. We post a small selection of samples out for you to try on at home and then return to us. We are available on our emails and over the phone to help you with any questions you may have throughout the process.

We can customise the length of your dress if you’d like - get in touch with us and we can chat. Price quoted upon request.

Yes! We can source a different fabric or colour (where possible) at an additional fee. Get in touch to discuss what we can do for you. 

While we can’t guarantee that we know a tailor near you, we do have a directory of tailors we know and like, and we are always happy to research a tailor in your area who can help fit your Jillian Boustred Bridal piece to your body. If you’re opting to have your piece tailored, we recommend ordering a size up so it’s easier for your tailor to fit the garment to your measurements.

We require an 8 - 12 week lead time on all orders. If you need this style sooner please enquire below and we will do our best to accommodate you.

All Jillian Boustred Wedding Edit orders are final sale, unless faulty.

We ship with Australia Post Express Australia wide, and with DHL Express for all international orders.
